Fingernailing and fist fighting both have a long history

by Ken Carpenter

Today I have a 6/2013 story about the pugilistic history of mankind and a 9/2013 tale of the perils of fingernails.

I have discovered through the years that I am pretty much a failure in fingernail management. At least I don’t have one that is four-feet long, though I suppose a slip-on claw that long may be a good self-defense tool.

Self-defense is not a strong suit of mine either, which may be why the claw idea occurred to me. The history of fisticuffs is kind of interesting though. You be the judge.
