Young habits make you pay later
by Ken Carpenter
The story today is from 2004. It tries to point out that the way you do many things when you are young can leave a legacy for your older self. Sometimes it is not your fault, but most times it is.
When I hear a car of young folks drive by with the stereo so loud that the base makes your innards rattle, I always shake my head. Then I remember that in the 70’s it was no better, and I was one of the kids in the car.
Irritating old people is kind of a prerequisite when you are young. Remembering that now helps keep me grounded.
It also reminds me that the shoe can fit any foot. So, I can now take some small pleasure out of irritating the young.
Have a great day! Irritate somebody!
